Francois Krige

Francois is passionate about trees and quality tree care. He understands and cares about the workings of trees and how they interface with people and the built environment. With over 20 years experience in tree surgery, Francois began his career in the forests of Germany and learnt the specialized art of urban tree care in London.

Since 1991 Krige Tree Services has been providing cutting edge tree care to a loyal customer base in and around Cape Town, and the greater Overberg region. Francois is a consultant to the Planning Department of the City’s Environmental Management Branch.

Melissa Krige (ND Horticulture)

Melissa assists with the management of the Platbos Tree Nursery at Platbos Forest Reserve.
The nursery offers the main tree species of this indigenous forest as well as a small collection of the Quercus Family.
The Platbos Tree Nursery supplies trees for the Platbos Reforestation Project as well as specimen trees for Krige Tree Services.
